Position Purpose To manage stores operations including inventory management, material receipt, storage, issuance, and record keeping to ensure optimal stock levels, accurate inventory control, and effective material availability for production.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee all stores operations including raw material stores, consumable stores, spares stores, and finished goods warehouse

- Manage inventory levels to maintain optimal stock while minimizing carrying costs and obsolescence

- Ensure timely receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming materials as per quality standards

- Implement systematic material issuance processes to production and maintenance departments

- Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems and conduct regular stock audits

- Coordinate with procurement for material planning and reorder level management

- Implement ABC analysis, min-max inventory systems, and just-in-time principles

- Ensure proper storage conditions for different materials to prevent deterioration or damage

- Manage warehouse layout optimization for efficient material handling and retrieval

- Lead stores team and ensure compliance with safety and security protocols

- Handle slow-moving, non-moving,



and obsolete inventory identification and disposal

- Prepare inventory reports, consumption analysis, and stock statements for management

- Implement digitization of stores operations and barcode/RFID systems

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal control procedures

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred

- Experience

- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, warehouse operations, and material handling

- Experience with ERP systems (SAP MM module preferred) and inventory management software

- Understanding of materials used in steel and sponge iron manufacturing

- Excellent organizational and analytical skills

- Knowledge of stores accounting, stock auditing, and internal controls

- Robust leadership and team management capabilities
