Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager – Quality Assurance with a strong background in Metallurgy and Automotive Foundry . The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading quality assurance activities, ensuring casting quality, managing foundry quality parameters, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance – Foundry

- Lead and manage overall Quality Assurance activities across foundry operations.
- Establish and monitor quality standards, processes, and control systems.
- Ensure consistent quality of cast iron components and casting processes .
- Monitor critical foundry quality parameters and ensure process compliance.
- Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to maintain quality standards.

Metallurgy & Casting Quality
- Handle quality requirements for SG Iron and Grey Iron castings.
- Monitor metallurgical parameters and casting process conditions.
- Conduct and oversee sand testing and interpretation of test results.
- Analyze casting defects and identify root causes.
- Implement effective CAPA and corrective actions to prevent recurring defects.
- Support process improvement initiatives to reduce rejection, rework, and scrap.

Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to customer specifications, quality standards, and internal procedures.
- Monitor in-process and final inspection activities.
- Review quality data and identify trends, deviations, and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain quality documentation and ensure effective implementation of quality procedures.
- Support customer audits, quality reviews, and technical discussions when required.

Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve quality issues.
- Drive timely resolution of process and casting-related quality concerns.
- Participate in root cause analysis and improvement projects.
- Support recent product and process development from a quality and metallurgical perspective.

Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Assurance team.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Provide technical guidance on metallurgy, casting defects, and quality issues.
- Promote a strong culture of quality, discipline, and continuous improvement .

Required Expertise & Experience

- 15–18 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Foundry Quality.
- Strong academic and practical background in Metallurgy .
- Proven experience in Automotive Foundry / Automotive Casting .
- Strong hands-on experience with SG Iron and Grey Iron .




- Expertise in Sand Testing and Foundry Quality Parameters .
- Strong knowledge of casting processes, metallurgical practices, and defect analysis.
- Experience in CAPA, RCA, rejection reduction, and process improvement.
- Strong leadership and team-management capabilities.

Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be:

- An experienced Metallurgist / Foundry Quality Leader from the Automotive Industry.
- Strong in SG Iron, Grey Iron, sand testing, and casting defect analysis.
- Hands-on with foundry quality systems and process controls.
- Experienced in leading quality teams and cross-functional improvement initiatives.
- Strong in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making.
- Focused on quality improvement, defect prevention, and operational excellence .
