Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager – Production to lead manufacturing operations and drive productivity, quality, cost, delivery, and operational excellence . The ideal candidate should have strong experience in automotive manufacturing, technical operations, cost management, process improvement, and people leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Manufacturing Operations

- Lead end-to-end production operations to achieve QCD targets .
- Monitor production planning, capacity utilization, manpower, machine efficiency, and plant performance.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and resources.
- Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

Technical & Operational Excellence
- Provide technical leadership across production and manufacturing processes.
- Improve manufacturing methods, layouts, workflows, and process efficiency.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and OEE initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for automation and productivity improvement.
- Coordinate with Maintenance to reduce machine breakdowns and downtime.

Quality & Compliance
- Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams.
- Drive reduction in rejection, rework, scrap, and process deviations .
- Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to automotive quality systems and manufacturing standards.

Cost & Financial Management
- Monitor production budgets and manufacturing costs.
- Drive cost reduction, waste elimination, and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Analyze manpower, material, machine, and operational costs.




- Support CAPEX/OPEX planning and investment decisions.
- Balance production objectives with financial and business targets.

Leadership & People Management
- Lead and mentor production managers, engineers, supervisors, and shop-floor teams.
- Set team objectives and monitor operational KPIs.
- Build a culture of accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement .
- Identify training and development needs for production teams.
- Work closely with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.

Planning & Business Coordination
- Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Finance, and Sales .
- Ensure production plans are achieved within timelines and available resources.
- Monitor operational performance and present reports to senior management.
- Support NPD, capacity expansion, plant improvement, and automation projects .

Required Skills & Experience





- 15+ years of experience in Production / Manufacturing, preferably in Automotive / Auto Components.
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Manufacturing, Production, Mechanical Engineering , or related field.
- Strong knowledge of automotive manufacturing and technical operations.
- Proven experience managing large-scale production operations.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and OEE .
- Experience in production planning, capacity management, maintenance, and shop-floor operations.
- Strong financial understanding of cost control, budgeting, CAPEX/OPEX, and productivity improvement .
- Excellent leadership, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be:

- From an Automotive OEM or Tier-1 / Tier-2 Auto Component organization.
- Experienced in large-scale production and plant operations.
- Strong in Lean / World-Class Manufacturing practices.
- Experienced in NPD, process development, automation, or plant expansion .
- Robust in stakeholder and vendor management.
- Capable of leading organizational and operational change.
- Business-oriented with the ability to connect technical operations with financial and strategic objectives .

Experience : 15 - 20 Timing : 09:30 AM to 7:00 PM

Working Shift : Day Shift (Onsite)
