Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Legal Qualified to manage all legal, contractual, statutory, and compliance matters related to Infrastructure, Civil Construction, Mining, and EPC projects. The candidate will be responsible for handling high-value contracts, litigation, land matters, mining regulations, statutory compliances, and legal risk management to support business operations and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Contract Management

- Draft, review, negotiate, and vet EPC, construction, mining, sub-contract, consultancy, vendor, and service agreements.
- Provide comprehensive legal support for tender documents, bid submissions, Letters of Intent (LOIs), work orders, and commercial contracts.
- Ensure strict contractual compliance, track performance milestones, and proactively mitigate legal risks.

2. Litigation & Dispute Resolution

- Oversee and manage civil, criminal, labor, arbitration, and commercial litigation matters.
- Coordinate with external advocates, legal consultants, and senior counsel for strategy and hearing representations.
- Draft and review legal notices, written statements, replies, petitions, affidavits, and case documentation.
- Represent the organization before courts, arbitral tribunals, and regulatory authorities as required.

3. Mining & Regulatory Compliance

- Manage legal matters related to mining leases, concessions, permits, environmental clearances, and statutory approvals.
- Ensure complete compliance with the MMDR Act, Mines Act, Environmental Laws, Forest Laws, and State Mining Regulations.
- Liaise effectively with Mining, Revenue, Forest, State Pollution Control Board, and other government departments.

4. Land & Property Matters





- Conduct legal title verification, due diligence, and comprehensive scrutiny of land documents.
- Handle land acquisition, lease agreements, registration, ROW (Right of Way) issues, and property-related disputes.
- Support project execution teams in securing statutory permissions and approvals for site development.

5. Corporate Compliance & Governance

- Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, Indian Contract Act, Labour Laws, and other sector-specific regulations.
- Develop and implement legal compliance frameworks and monitor adherence across project sites.
- Maintain central legal records, licenses, registrations, and statutory documentation.

6. Legal Risk Management & Advisory

- Identify potential legal hazards across projects and recommend proactive risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide legal opinions, contract interpretations, and advisory support to top management and operational teams.
- Guide internal stakeholders on the legal implications of business decisions and contract execution strategies.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Educational Qualification: LLB / LLM from a recognized university. Enrollment with a State Bar Council is preferred. Additional qualifications in Corporate Law, Arbitration, or Compliance are a distinct advantage.
- Relevant Experience: 10--20 years of hands-on legal experience in Infrastructure, Civil Construction, Mining, EPC, or related heavy-industry sectors.
- Core Competencies: Proven track record in contract negotiation, litigation oversight, land acquisition, mining regulations, and statutory compliance, including direct interaction with regulatory and government authorities.
