Mould Development & Product Costing Coordinator - Fresher

Job Purpose To support the Footwear Design and Product Development team in coordinating mould development, new product costing, product data management, and development-related activities. The role will work closely with Designers, NPD, Mould Development, Materials, Production and other departments to ensure accurate data, timely follow-up and smooth execution of new product developments.

Key Responsibilities 1. Mould Development Coordination

- Assist in coordinating new mould development activities based on approved footwear designs.
- Prepare and share mould development requirements with the concerned team or supplier.
- Follow up on mould development status, trials, modifications and approvals.
- Maintain records of mould specifications, sizes, sole lengths and development status.
- Update the mould development tracker regularly.
- Coordinate with the team for mould trials and sample requirements.
- Maintain and update the mould library/database.
- Assist in identifying existing moulds that can be used for new product developments.

1. Recent Product Costing Support

- Assist in preparing costing for new footwear products.
- Collect material prices, consumption and other required cost inputs from the concerned departments.
- Prepare basic costing sheets using Excel.
- Maintain product-wise costing records for future reference.
- Support the NPD team in comparing target cost with estimated product cost.
- Assist in identifying basic cost-saving opportunities under the guidance of the senior team.
- Ensure costing data is updated whenever material or product specifications change.

1. Product Data Management

- Maintain accurate product development data for new and existing articles.
- Update information related to article numbers, designs,



moulds, materials, colors, sizes, costing and sample status.
- Maintain development trackers and ensure information is updated on time.
- Organize product development documents, drawings, costing sheets and related records.
- Maintain proper filing of mould and product development information.
- Support the team in maintaining a centralized product development database.

1. Design & NPD Team Support

- Coordinate with designers and NPD team members for development requirements.
- Assist in collecting information required for new product development.
- Follow up with internal departments and suppliers for pending development activities.
- Support sample development activities by ensuring required moulds, materials and information are available.
- Assist in tracking products from initial design stage through sampling and approval.
- Highlight delays or missing information to the concerned senior team member.

1. Reports & Documentation

- Prepare daily, weekly or monthly development status reports.
- Update mould development, costing and product development trackers.
- Maintain proper documentation of development activities.
- Prepare Excel-based reports and summaries as required by the team.
- Ensure all data and documents are maintained accurately and systematically.

Required Skills
- Basic understanding of footwear products, design or manufacturing.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint .
- Good numerical and analytical skills.




- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to learn footwear mould development and product costing.
- Good follow-up and time-management skills.
- Ability to work with multiple teams.
- Basic understanding of drawings and product specifications is an advantage.

Educational Qualification

Bachelors Degree in

- Footwear Technology
- Mechanical Engineering
- Production Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Fashion / Footwear Design
- Any other relevant technical or design discipline

Experience Freshers are encouraged to apply.

0-1 year of experience in footwear, product development, design, manufacturing or a related field will be an advantage.
