Ferg's Bar Right in the heart of Queenstown, Ferg's Bar is a busy, vibrant venue where great food, seriously good drinks and genuinely brilliant hospitality come together.

We're looking for an experienced Assistant Manager or Duty Manager to join our team - someone who loves being on the floor, knows what great hospitality looks like and gets a buzz from making a busy shift run brilliantly.

This is a role for someone who is ready for their next step. You might already be an experienced Duty Manager, an ambitious bartender ready to step up, or a restaurant manager who's keen to get stuck into the world of bars.

Whatever your background, we're looking for someone warm, confident and charismatic, who stays calm under pressure, moves quickly and genuinely loves looking after people.

What You'll Be Doing This is a hands on leadership role. You'll be on the floor, leading from the front and setting the standard for the team.

You'll Be

- Leading and motivating the team throughout service
- Coordinating great shifts and making sure the team has what they need to succeed
- Delivering genuinely outstanding, above-and-beyond guest experiences
- Being visible and engaged with guests, anticipating what they need and making their visit memorable
- Supporting the Venue Manager with the growth and development of Ferg's Bar
- Helping deliver new concepts, ideas and initiatives across the venue
- Supporting training and developing the team
- Helping maintain the high standards that make Ferg's Bar what it is
- Taking responsibility for the venue when you're on duty

What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who:

- Has solid experience in a busy bar or hospitality environment
- Has experience leading a team or running shifts
- Has a genuine passion for hospitality and creating excellent guest experiences
- Is confident and knowledgeable around cocktails and bar service




- Can lead from the front and isn't afraid to get stuck in
- Is warm, charismatic and naturally good with people
- Can stay calm under pressure while keeping things moving
- Takes pride in the details and holds themselves and others to a high standard
- Is curious, keen to learn and hungry to progress
- Has the right to work in Current Zealand

Great bar experience is important, but you don't necessarily need to have spent your whole career behind a bar. The hours This is a full time role of 40–45 hours per week, working 5 days across a rotating roster. You'll need to be flexible across mornings, evenings, weekends and late nights.

Ferg's Bar is open from 7am, so no two days are exactly the same.
