Provide leadership and coordination of property financial statements for a group of clients. The Assistant Controller / Accounting Manager leads a team of accountants and has regular interaction with clients and auditors. Together with other Assistant Controllers, ensure accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.

Designation: Assistant Controller

Note- Property accounting in RTR with US background is mandatory.

Experience Required - 13 +Years.

Work type: Work from office

Location: Ambattur IE, Chennai

Shift timings: US shift (6:30 PM to 3:30 AM)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Responsible for the supervision of the accounting for a specific team of accountants.
- Ensures the delivery of financial statements within the required client delivery date.
- Communicates regularly with clients to discuss the financial performance of their properties and responds to accounting questions.
- Responsible for the accuracy of financial statements prepared by a team of accountants.
- Supervises the accounting team in reviewing rent rolls, reconciling bank statements, and monitoring monthly operating results against budget.




- Coordinate with operational team members to prepare and approve financial budgets for each property.
- Coordinate with the Controller, CFO & other Assistant Controllers to establish and implement short/long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
- Participate in the hiring process and annual performance reviews for a team of Sr. Accountants, Accountants, and Jr. Accountants.
- Manage efficiency and make staffing recommendations in order to meet expected performance metrics.
- Support a team of assistant controllers in responding to financial audit requests and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.

Education & Experience

- 15+ years of experience in F&A;, with relevant Property Accounting experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA eligible or CPA preferred
- Experience in third-party multi-family property management preferred
- Prior leadership or management of accounting teams
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills
- Solid grasp of financial principles
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities
- Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills

Job location- Chennai (Ambattur) Note - Work from office and US shift (6.30pm- 3.30am)
