Role Description The Assistant/Associate Professor in CSE (AI & ML) role is a full-time, on-site position based at PES University in Bengaluru.

Responsibilities include designing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, using innovative and inclusive teaching methods. The role involves supervising student projects, guiding research, publishing in reputed conferences and journals, and contributing to curriculum development in emerging AI & ML areas. Daily activities include mentoring students, conducting assessments, maintaining high academic standards, and participating in departmental and university committees.





Faculty members are also expected to engage with industry and research partners, contribute to accreditation and quality assurance initiatives, and support outreach activities of the University.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in Computer Science and Engineering, with advanced expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
- Proficiency in core AI & ML areas such as supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, data science, and related computational methods.
- Ability to design and deliver structured courses, develop learning materials, and evaluate student performance effectively.
- Demonstrated research aptitude, including problem formulation, experimentation, data analysis, and scholarly publication.
- Effective classroom management, mentoring, and guidance skills to support diverse learners and foster an inclusive learning environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with colleagues, industry partners, and academic bodies.
- Relevant academic qualifications, typically a Master’s degree (M.Tech/M.S) in CSE or related field; Ph.D. in CSE/AI/ML or closely allied discipline is highly preferred.
- Experience in academic or research institutions, participation in funded projects, and contributions to curriculum or lab development are beneficial.
