Assistant Account Manager

ROLE PURPOSE The Assistant Account Manager owns core finance operations for the business — accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and treasury — ensuring the numbers are accurate, deadlines are met, and there is zero room for discrepancy.
This role suits someone precise and deadline-driven, equally comfortable closing books, reconciling ledgers, and staying ahead of GST/TDS compliance, while supporting smooth day-to-day financial operations across the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage accounts payable processes, including timely vendor payments and complete supporting documentation.
- Perform ledger scrutiny and ensure closure of discrepancies on a monthly basis.
- Support monthly book closure and preparation of financial statements — P&L;, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
- Ensure timely GST and TDS filings, and compliance with all applicable statutory regulations.
- Monitor daily cash flow and bank balances, and track loan repayments and other treasury activities.
- Verify agreements and ensure compliance before processing payments, including those involving related parties.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure the books are always audit-ready.
- Coordinate with auditors and support internal and external audits end to end.

Accounts Payable & Vendor Management
Vendor payments processed accurately and on time, with complete documentation.
Ledger Accuracy & Reconciliation
Ledger scrutiny completed monthly, with discrepancies identified and closed within the same cycle.
Book Closure & Financial Reporting
Monthly book closure and financial statements (P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) completed within timeline.
Statutory Compliance
GST, TDS, and other statutory filings completed accurately and on time, with zero penalties.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
Daily cash flow, bank balances, and loan repayments tracked and reported without errors.
Audit Readiness
Accounting records maintained audit-ready at all times; internal and external audits supported with no major observations.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Qualification & Experience
- Chartered Accountant (CA), with 1–2 years of post-qualification experience — preferably from industry.
- Alternatively, 2–4 years of relevant experience as a CA, or 3–5 years of articleship experience with strong exposure to core accounting functions.
Technical Skills
- Sound knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with Tally and MS Excel.
Soft Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy under deadline pressure.
- Good communication and coordination skills, including with auditors and cross-functional teams.
