Role Description The Articled Assistant internship role at Attry & Associates is an on-site position based in Chandigarh, India. The intern will assist in statutory and tax audits, preparation and review of financial statements, and support the preparation and filing of Income Tax and GST returns. Day-to-day tasks include working on company law and corporate compliance matters, maintaining documentation and working papers, and conducting basic research on tax, regulatory, and legal issues under supervision.
The role also involves coordinating with team members on client assignments,
supporting advisory projects, and learning firm methodologies and skilled standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in accounting, taxation, and auditing principles, with strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Candidates should possess skills in financial documentation, working paper preparation, and basic compliance-related drafting and reporting.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and be comfortable working with accounting or tax software tools.
- Candidates should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, along with attention to detail and the ability to follow qualified standards.
- Candidates should possess good time-management, teamwork, and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple assignments under guidance.
- Candidates pursuing or having completed initial levels of a Chartered Accountancy program, or an equivalent professional/commerce qualification, will be preferred.
- Candidates should possess a demonstrated interest in taxation, audit, corporate compliance, and regulatory matters, and a willingness to learn in a structured environment.
