Role Description The Article Trainee – GST will support the GST team in handling indirect tax compliance and advisory assignments for a diverse portfolio of clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in preparation and review of GST returns, reconciliations, and working papers; supporting GST audits and assessments; and helping draft technical notes, client communications, and internal documentation. The role involves researching GST laws, notifications, and case laws, analyzing their impact on client operations,



and maintaining organized records and files for ongoing engagements.

The trainee will collaborate with senior team members on client deliverables, participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions, and help ensure adherence to firm standards and timelines. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in accounting and taxation, with specific interest in indirect tax and GST; pursuing or having completed CA articleship or equivalent professional training is preferred.
- Ability to research GST laws, rules, and judicial pronouncements, and summarize findings clearly for internal and client use.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools; comfort working with data, reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear emails, notes, and working papers.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a structured approach to documentation and compliance.
- Capability to work collaboratively in a team, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.
- High ethical standards, professionalism, and willingness to learn from senior professionals and continuous training initiatives.
- Exposure to GST compliance or internships in tax/advisory firms will be an added advantage.
