We are looking for a passionate and creative Art Teacher who can use art as a medium for learning, self-expression, confidence-building, creativity, and skill development.

Job Summary The Art Teacher will be responsible for planning and conducting engaging, age-appropriate art activities for children with special needs. The role involves adapting art techniques and activities according to individual abilities, interests, sensory needs, and developmental levels.

The ideal candidate should be patient, compassionate, creative, and comfortable working in an inclusive educational and therapeutic workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and conduct individual and group art sessions for children with diverse learning and developmental needs.
- Teach a variety of art forms including drawing, painting, colouring, craft, clay work, mixed media, and other creative activities.
- Adapt activities according to each child's abilities, interests, attention span, and developmental goals.
- Encourage creativity, self-expression, confidence, and participation through art.
- Develop structured lesson plans and maintain records of activities and student progress.
- Collaborate with special educators, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other professionals to support the overall development of students.
- Create artwork and projects that can be displayed during exhibitions, events, workshops, and foundation activities.
- Introduce children to different artists, art styles,



techniques, and creative concepts in an accessible manner.
- Maintain a safe, organised, and stimulating art environment.
- Handle art materials and maintain appropriate inventory of supplies.
- Participate in school events, exhibitions, workshops, and other AbleMinds Foundation initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with parents and the multidisciplinary team regarding students' participation and progress.

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fine Arts, Applied Arts, Visual Arts, Art Education, or a related field.
- Prior experience teaching children is preferred.
- Experience working with children with special needs will be an advantage.
- Solid understanding of basic art techniques and creative activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a child-centred approach.
- Ability to modify activities for children with different abilities and learning styles.
- Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong creativity and enthusiasm for working with children.
