Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager (ASM) with strong experience in the FMCG, Cosmetics, Beauty & Personal Care industry. The candidate will be responsible for driving sales, expanding market presence, managing distributors and retailers, and achieving business targets across the assigned territory.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of General Trade (GT), distributor management, retail sales, secondary sales, team handling, and market development.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve primary and secondary sales targets.
- Manage and develop the assigned territory through effective distributor and retailer management.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the company's market reach and distribution network.
- Manage relationships with distributors, dealers, retailers, and key outlets.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, schemes, and product movement.
- Ensure effective product availability, visibility, and merchandising across the assigned territory.
- Conduct regular market visits to monitor sales performance and understand market requirements.
- Drive secondary sales through distributors and retail outlets.
- Handle distributor appointments, stock availability, order planning, and collections as required.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue targets.
- Lead, guide, and monitor the performance of Sales Officers / Sales Executives / Territory Sales teams.
- Track sales reports, distributor performance, outlet coverage, and territory-wise business growth.




- Coordinate with the Marketing team for product launches, promotional activities, schemes, and campaigns.
- Ensure proper implementation of company policies, sales schemes, and promotional activities in the market.
- Provide regular feedback regarding customer requirements, competitor activity, pricing, and market trends.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly sales and market reports to management.

Required Experience

- 4–8 years of relevant sales experience in FMCG, Cosmetics, Beauty & Personal Care, or related industries.
- Candidates with strong experience in Cosmetics / Color Cosmetics / Personal Care / Beauty Products will be preferred.
- Solid experience in General Trade (GT), Distributor Management, Retailer Management, and Secondary Sales.
- Experience in handling a defined territory and achieving sales targets.
- Prior experience in team handling and market development will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of FMCG distribution channels and retail markets.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be target-oriented, energetic, and comfortable with extensive market travel. The candidate must have strong communication, negotiation, leadership, and relationship-management skills, along with a proven understanding of the FMCG/Cosmetics sales ecosystem.

Preferred: Candidates currently working or previously working with Cosmetics, Beauty, Personal Care, FMCG, or Color Cosmetics brands.
