Role Description The Area Credit Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Jaipur, responsible for overseeing credit underwriting and risk assessment for housing and MSME loan portfolios within the assigned region. The role includes evaluating loan applications, analyzing financial documents, verifying customer profiles, and ensuring adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines.

The Area Credit

Manager will monitor portfolio quality, track key credit risk indicators, and collaborate with operations, collections,



and business teams to maintain healthy asset performance. Day-to-day tasks involve reviewing credit proposals, providing credit decisions or recommendations, supporting branch teams in complex cases, conducting periodic portfolio reviews, and implementing corrective measures where needed. The role also involves training and guiding field staff on credit processes and contributing to continuous improvement of credit frameworks and systems.

Qualifications

- Strong Credit Management and Credit underwriting skills, with experience in evaluating loan proposals and customer profiles.
- Proficiency in Credit Risk Management, including portfolio monitoring, early warning signal detection, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Solid Analytical Skills and Finance knowledge to interpret financial statements, cash flows, and repayment capacity.
- Understanding of Credit products in housing finance and MSME segments, particularly in semi-urban and rural markets.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience in banking, NBFCs, or financial services, ideally in retail credit or affordable housing/MSME lending.
- Ability to work on-site in Jaipur, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple branches or locations within the area.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making abilities, with a commitment to ethical and responsible lending.
