- Design Translation: Collaborate with lead architects and structural engineers to accurately translate conceptual sketches and specifications into functional construction documents.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all plans and technical documentation comply strictly with local building codes, zoning regulations, and international standards relevant to the project scope.
- Site Integration: Conduct field measurements and site surveys when required, incorporating site-specific realities and constraints into the final drafting models.
- Project Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material specifications, and organized repositories of standard architectural symbols and templates.
- Revisions & Optimization: Swiftly execute drawing revisions based on stakeholder feedback, ensuring strict version control and alignment with the overarching project timeline.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a closely related field.
- Professional Experience: 2 to 10+ years of proven experience in architectural drafting, ideally with exposure to large-scale real estate or commercial infrastructure projects.
- Software Proficiency: Mastery of AutoCAD; strong working knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or other BIM and 3D modeling software is highly preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of building materials, construction methods, and the integration of core structural and MEP systems.
