Job Responsibilities

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to lead a team of 4 to 5 members delivering technology intelligence, IP research, and market intelligence assignments for global clients across the Biomedical and Electronics domains. The role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, project management, client engagement, and people management. The candidate should be capable of independently managing multiple client engagements(projects), mentoring junior team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and contributing to business growth through proposal development and client relationship management.

Team Leadership & Project Management

- Lead and mentor a team of 4 to 6 research analysts.
- Manage multiple projects, create project plans, delegate tasks to team members based on capability, monitor project timelines, deliver quality reports and optimize resource utilization,
- Conduct technical reviews of projects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Mentor team members through regular feedback, knowledge sharing, and skill development.
- Build domain expertise within the team and identify training needs.
- Drive continuous process improvements and productivity initiatives.

Client Engagement & Delivery

- Independently manage multiple client engagements from project initiation through final delivery.
- Understand client objectives and translate them into structured research plans.
- Lead client discussions, requirement gathering, interim reviews, and final presentations.
- Manage project risks and proactively communicate status updates.
- Ensure timely delivery while maintaining high analytical quality.

Business Development Support





- Support in proposal development, designing research methodology, create impactful sample outputs for the proposals.
- Participate in capability presentations and client discussions.
- Identify opportunities for follow-on projects and account expansion.
- Support development of reusable knowledge assets, case studies, and thought leadership.

The candidate must be able to lead and review the assignments related to technology intelligence including technology scouting, competitor technology benchmarking, emerging technology assessment, startup scouting, cross-domain opportunity assessment, technology maturity assessment, technology/patent landscaping, value chain analysis, go to market assessment, chance assessment, white space analysis and ip studies including freedom-to-operate (FTO), patentability searches, prior art searches, invalidity searches, evidence of use (EoU), claim chart preparation, patent strength assessment, patent portfolio optimization.

Requirements:

Education

- B.Tech./M.Tech. in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Electronics, Biotechnology, or related engineering discipline.
- MBA is an added advantage.
- Ability to comprehend technologies discussed in patents, journals, articles and related literature
- Effectively write technology and business-related reports
- Knowledge of patents, IP studies execution workflow and basic legal know-how.

Communication Skills

- Excellent written and verbal English communication.
- Ability to present technical findings to business audiences including CXO level designations.
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills.
- Ability to prepare executive-ready reports and PowerPoint presentations.
