Job Summary
We are looking for a hardworking and safety-conscious Arc Welder / Fabricator with 0–2 years of experience in MS and SS fabrication and arc welding. The candidate will be responsible for carrying out welding, cutting, fitting and fabrication activities as per drawings, measurements and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Perform arc welding of MS and SS components as per required specifications.
Carry out MS and SS fabrication, fitting and assembly work.
Read and understand basic fabrication drawings, dimensions and measurements.
Perform cutting, grinding, drilling and other fabrication-related activities.
Ensure proper alignment, dimensions and finish of fabricated components.
Check weld quality and identify defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut and incomplete welds.
Use welding machines, grinders, cutting tools and other fabrication equipment safely.
Maintain proper housekeeping and cleanliness of the work area.
Follow prescribed PPE, safety procedures and work instructions at all times.
Coordinate with supervisors and other production team members to complete jobs within the required time.
Handle tools and equipment responsibly and report any defects or unsafe conditions immediately.
Maintain quality standards and minimize material wastage.
Carry out other fabrication and welding activities assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills
Basic practical knowledge of Arc Welding.
Experience/exposure in MS and SS fabrication.
Ability to use basic measuring and hand tools.
Basic understanding of fabrication drawings and dimensions.
Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Willingness to work in a manufacturing/plant environment.
Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Qualification
ITI / Vocational qualification in Welder, Fitter or related trade preferred.
Experience
0–2 years of relevant experience in welding/fabrication. Fresh ITI candidates with valuable practical welding skills may also be considered.
Preferred Candidate A candidate who is hands-on, willing to learn, safety-conscious and comfortable working with both MS and SS fabrication jobs.
