About the Role
As a Medical Billing Voice Associate, you will serve as the frontline communicator between healthcare providers and insurance companies. Your primary focus will be on outbound calls to insurance carriers to verify patient eligibility, obtain claim status, and follow up on unpaid or denied claims.
This role is ideal for individuals who are comfortable with high-volume voice-based work, can maintain accuracy under deadlines, and thrive in a collaborative night-shift environment. You will work on live accounts receivable reports, document every interaction, and ensure that claims are processed and resolved efficiently.
Successful candidates will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate multiple systems while maintaining compliance with client-specific guidelines and information security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to insurance companies to verify patient eligibility and obtain claim status
- Follow up on unpaid, denied, or outstanding claims based on reports received from clients or generated through client software
- Document denial details and initiate appropriate follow-up actions
- Work through account receivable reports and outstanding claims reports assigned by the team lead
- Complete assigned targets with speed and accuracy in line with client SLAs
- Maintain individual daily logs of calls, outcomes, and follow-up actions
- Collaborate with team members to achieve shared operational goals
- Escalate communication or process issues to seniors in a timely manner
- Adhere to information security policies, client/project guidelines, business rules, and quality standards
- Work across any voice-based process as required (insurance follow-up, patient calling, provider outreach, etc.)
Required Qualifications
- Any undergraduate or graduate degree
- Freshers with strong communication skills are encouraged to apply
- 1+ year of experience in voice-based processes preferred
- Willingness to work in night shifts (8:00 PM – 5:00 AM IST or 5:30 PM – 2:30 AM IST)
- Comfortable with outbound calling and high-volume voice work
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn client-specific software
Technical Skills Communication: Clear spoken English; confident phone presence
Systems: Ability to navigate multiple software platforms and maintain digital logs
Domain (trainable): Insurance verification, claim status follow-up, denial documentation, account receivable reporting
Compliance: Understanding of information security and confidentiality requirements
