Role Summary

ROLE SUMMARY The Assistant Manager - Applied AI will be part of the Applied AI Digital Excellence team , driving rapid prototyping and deployment of AI solutions across guest experience, revenue, operations, FB, sales, marketing and support functions. The role is hands-on and delivery-focused: writing Python code, building agents on Microsoft Copilot Studio, orchestrating workflows on n8n, and leveraging large language models such as Claude, GPT and Gemini to convert business ideas into working prototypes within days, not months. The incumbent will work alongside functional SPOCs, the AI CREW and vendor partners to test, iterate and productionise use cases that create measurable enterprise value.

Key Responsibilities

- Rapid Prototyping: Translate business problems into functional prototypes within 1 to 3 week sprints using Python, low-code platforms and GenAI tooling.

- Agent Development: Design, build and publish AI agents on Microsoft Copilot Studio, including topics, actions, connectors, knowledge sources and triggers.

- Workflow Automation: Build multi-step automation flows on n8n, Power Automate and Zapier connecting internal systems Opera PMS, Salesforce, SAP, Dataverse with AI models.

- LLM Integration: Leverage Claude, GPT, Gemini and open-source models through APIs and SDKs; apply prompt engineering, RAG and evaluation techniques.

- Data Handling: Prepare, clean and structure datasets for AI use cases; work with SQL, Pandas and Power BI to validate outputs and quantify impact.

- Solution Deployment: Deploy prototypes to pilot users, gather feedback, iterate and hand over successful pilots to enterprise engineering for scale-up.

- Documentation Reuse: Maintain clean code, technical documentation and reusable components that accelerate future use cases across the enterprise.

- Responsible AI: Adhere to ITC Hotels Responsible AI, data privacy DPDPA and information security guardrails in every build.

Required Skills and Tools





- Programming and Data Python must-have: FastAPIFlask, Pandas, NumPy, requests, pytest

- SQL for data extraction and validation; familiarity with Power BI Tableau for outcome visualisation

- Version control with Git and GitHub; basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON and webhooks

- AI, GenAI and Agent Platforms Microsoft Copilot Studio: topics, actions, connectors, knowledge, publishing and analytics

- LLMs and APIs: Claude Anthropic, GPT OpenAI, Gemini Google, Azure OpenAI

- Agentic frameworks: LangChain, LangGraph or LlamaIndex; exposure to RAG, vector databases Pinecone, FAISS, Azure AI Search

- Prompt engineering, evaluation harnesses and responsible AI testing

- Automation and Low-Code n8n, Power Automate, Zapier for workflow orchestration and system integration

- Microsoft 365 stack: SharePoint, Dataverse, Power Apps working knowledge

- Cloud basics on Microsoft Azure or AWS; comfort with containers Docker is a plus

- Analytical and Behavioural Structured problem-solving with a bias for shipping over polish

- Strong written and verbal communication to work with non-technical business users

- Curiosity, ownership and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-moving AI landscape

Minimum Qualifications

- Education: B.E. B.Tech M.Tech MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, AIML or allied disciplines from a reputed engineering institute IITs, NITs, IIITs, BITS or equivalent Tier-1 college preferred.

- Experience: 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in software development, AIML or automation.

- Robust internship or academic project portfolio in GenAI, agents or applied ML is acceptable in lieu of full-time experience.

- Certifications Preferred: Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Google or AWS AIML foundational certifications, or equivalent.
