Role Overview:

Responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting the Central Recordkeeping Agency (CRA) system in a 24x7 production workplace. Key focus areas include real-time application monitoring, incident troubleshooting, cloud infrastructure maintenance, batch tracking, and driving continuous operational improvements through automation.

Key Responsibilities

Application & API Support

- Monitor application health, system availability, and transaction flows to maintain operational SLAs.
- Diagnose and resolve complex L2 application issues, performing root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent repeat incidents.
- Manage API endpoints and microservices routing, leveraging Kong API Gateway for configuration, access controls, rate limiting, and troubleshooting.

Monitoring, Logging & Incident Debugging

- Monitor real-time logs, application alerts, system resource metrics, and transaction pipelines.
- Search, parse, and analyze logs across distributed systems to trace failing transactions and isolate software or database bugs.
- Track and resolve production incidents, managing escalations to L3 teams or software engineering when required.

Databases & Data Management

- Write and run standard and Advanced SQL queries for data extraction, integrity verification, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain operational familiarity with IBM DB2, including performing DB health checks, deadlock analysis, performance querying, and index troubleshooting.

Scripting, Automation & Testing

- Develop and maintain operational Shell scripts and Python scripts to automate repetitive tasks and health monitoring.




- Use Playwright to create synthetic monitoring scripts, automated UI testing, or automated application workflow checks.
- Drive operational efficiency by converting manual support tasks into self-healing or automated scripts.

System Maintenance, Security & Compliance

- Monitor, track, and remediate Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) findings within designated compliance timelines.
- Actively participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) drills, failover testing, and periodic DR shifting operations.

Batch Processing & Cloud Operations

- Monitor scheduled batch jobs, investigate batch failures, and rerun or optimize automated workflows.
- Handle cloud-hosted application environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP basics), including managing VMs, storage buckets, and fundamental cloud service metrics.
