Job Summary The Application Security Engineer prevents vulnerabilities from being coded, as well as prioritizes remediation of vulnerabilities found by our scanning and testing tools. In this role you will use your practical secure software development experience to identify the real-world risk of each vulnerability, the complexity of remediation, and the existing environmental mitigating controls to deliver secure software, on schedule and within our risk posture. You will also collaborate with architects, engineers and peer security engineers to maintain a threat model for each product you work on and help participate in design reviews to ensure security principles are included as part of design.

You will be embedded as a key member of an agile software development team and focus on delivery of a specific product. Collaborating and educating your peers on maintaining good software security practices is also a key part of the job.

- Recognized as a subject matter expert, leveraging deep technical expertise and a broad understanding of software engineering principles, patterns, and best practices to drive high-quality solutions.

- Leads the resolution of complex technical challenges, applying sound judgment and in-depth analysis to evaluate alternatives, select appropriate methodologies, and deliver effective outcomes.

- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, India is a requirement of the role.

with a primary base in Bengaluru. While on-site presence is essential for key engagements, flexibility is offered for remote work based on business needs and team alignment.

Skills And Background You’ll Need

Education: B.Tech / B.E. software engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems is required.

Required Certifications

- GIAC Certification

- ISC 2 Certification

Preferred Certifications

- SAFe Practitioner

- Penetration Testing

- AI-900 Azure AI Fundamentals (or equivalent)

- DA-900 Azure Data Fundamentals (or equivalent)

- SC-900 Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (or equivalent)

Experience

- 5-8 years working with software development teams to review and remediate software security vulnerabilities or defects is required.

- 5-8 years working with Static and Dynamic Security Testing tools

- 5-8 years working with DevSecOps practices including IaC, CI/CD, automated testing, autoscaling, self-healing systems, and secure design

- 5-8 years working in Agile/SAFe Agile using Jira or similar tools, with experience in sizing or estimation (any model)

- 5-8 years as a Security Engineer, Software Developer, Cloud Automation Engineer, or Systems Engineer with coding responsibility

- 5-8 years Java experience (ability to understand but not expert level)

- 5-8 years Angular or TypeScript experience (ability to understand but not expert level)

Preferred Experience

- 3 years hands on DevSecOps practices (IaC, CI/CD, automated testing, self-healing)

- 2 years of Java Coding Experience

- 2 years of experience with Spring Framework

- Angular (TypeScript) Coding Experience

- BurpSuite or other API testing tools

- Threat Modeling Experience (using any model)

- Strong Documentation





- Penetration Testing Experience.
