API Test Engineer – Middleware & Microservices Migration

Duration: Contract to hire

Job Summary

We are looking for API Test Engineers to validate migrated APIs and microservices during a large-scale IBM Middleware modernization project. The engineer will ensure functional parity, performance, and reliability between legacy and modernized services.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop API test strategies and test plans.
- Validate migrated APIs against existing ACE/IIB implementations.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Create automated API test suites.
- Validate JSON/XML transformations and message mappings.
- Support UAT and production deployment validation.
- Report defects and coordinate with development teams.

Required Skills
- 4+ years of API testing experience.




- Hands-on experience with:
- Postman
- REST Assured
- Swagger/OpenAPI
- JMeter
- API Automation Frameworks
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and Microservices.
- Experience with JSON, XML, and API payload validation.

Preferred Skills
- Experience testing IBM ACE/IIB integrations.
- CI/CD pipeline testing.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized applications.

Project Details

- Migration of multiple IBM Middleware APIs
- Source Platforms: IBM ACE 12, IIB 8, IIB 9
- Target Platform: Java Spring Boot Microservices
- Duration: Approximately 6 Months
- Immediate Joiners Preferred.
