Private Equity Fund Accounting

- Perform day-to-day accounting activities for PE funds, SPVs, and investment entities.

- Maintain and review General Ledger, Trial Balance, Income Statement, and Balance Sheet.

- Prepare and post accounting journals, accruals, prepayments, reclasses, and adjustment entries.

- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.

- Review accounting entries and investigate unusual balances and variances.

- Perform NAV preparation and review activities.

Capital Activity &

- Investor Accounting

- Process and review capital calls, distributions, subscriptions, and investor transfers.

- Maintain investor capital accounts and commitment schedules.

- Calculate and review management fees, fund expenses, and other investor-level allocations.

- Support waterfall calculations and distribution allocations.

- Reconcile investor-level activity with fund-level accounting records.

- Support investor statements and capital account reporting.

Investment Accounting

- Record and reconcile investment purchases, sales, valuations, and other investment-related transactions.

- Account for realized and unrealized gains/losses.

- Review investment valuation entries and supporting schedules.

- Perform investment-level and portfolio-level reconciliations.

- Support investment roll-forward and valuation reporting.

Japanese &

- Chinese Fund Support

- Work with fund structures and reporting requirements applicable to Japanese and Chinese investors/funds.

- Coordinate with Japan/China-based client teams and respond to accounting and reporting queries.





- Review fund documentation and transaction information received in Japanese/Chinese or translated formats.

- Support preparation and review of client-specific reporting packs and schedules.

- Ensure deliverables follow client-specific accounting policies, templates, and reporting calendars.

- Ability to work in Japanese or Mandarin/Chinese is an advantage, particularly for client communication and document interpretation.

Reconciliations &

- Controls

- Perform cash, investment, investor, intercompany, and GL reconciliations.

- Investigate and resolve breaks within agreed timelines.

- Perform balance sheet substantiation and account analysis.

- Identify root causes of accounting discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

- Maintain appropriate supporting documentation and audit trails.

- Follow internal controls, SOPs, and client-specific procedures.

Financial Reporting &

- Audit Support

- Support preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements.

- Prepare financial statement schedules and supporting workpapers.

- Support audit requests and provide documentation to auditors.

- Assist with financial statement disclosures and supporting calculations.





- Perform analytical review of financial statements and NAV movements.

Systems / Technology

Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:

- Investran

- Geneva

- Allvue
- eFront

- Yardi

- Excel / Advanced Excel

- Power BI or other reporting tools

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline.

- 3–8 years of relevant Private Equity / Alternative Investment Fund Accounting experience.

- Strong understanding of:

- PE fund structures

- NAV accounting

- Capital calls and distributions

- Management fees

- Investment accounting

- Investor accounting

- Reconciliations

- Financial reporting

- Month/quarter/year-end close

- Solid Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and reconciliation techniques.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to independently manage deliverables and meet strict reporting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting Japanese PE funds, Japanese asset managers, or Japan-based clients.

- Experience supporting Chinese PE funds, China-based asset managers, or China-based investors.

- Japanese or Mandarin/Chinese language proficiency.

- Experience with IFRS, US GAAP, or Japan/China-specific accounting and reporting requirements.

- Experience working in an offshore/onshore fund administration or managed-services environment.

- CA / CPA / CMA / ACCA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
