Internship Opening: BSc / BVoc Anesthesia & OT Technology InternPosition

OverviewWe are seeking dedicated and motivated BSc or BVoc Anesthesia & Operation Theatre (OT) Technology students for a comprehensive hands-on internship program. This role provides invaluable clinical exposure, allowing you to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world surgical and critical care practices under the direct supervision of experienced medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities

- Anesthesia Support: Assist anesthesiologists during pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases, including patient preparation and monitoring basic vitals.
- Equipment & Workstation Management: Prepare, check, and maintain anesthesia workstations, ventilators, multi-parameter monitors, and ensure proper handling and general care of specialized surgical equipment.
- Surgical Scrub Assisting: Actively participate as a scrub assistant during surgical procedures by maintaining sterile fields, properly handing instruments, and anticipating the dynamic needs of the surgical team.
- Sterilization, Autoclaving & OT Maintenance: Perform thorough OT cleaning, manage autoclaving procedures for surgical tools, and oversee the meticulous sterilization, packaging, and maintenance of OT instruments.
- Infection Control & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques,



standard infection control protocols, and biomedical waste management inside the OT.
- Patient Care & Logistics: Assist in safe patient positioning, transfers, and smooth handovers between the ward, OT, and recovery rooms.
- Inventory & Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of surgical instruments, pharmaceutical consumables, and equipment usage.

Candidate Requirements

- Currently enrolled in final year BSc or BVoc degree program in Anesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology student
- Solid foundational knowledge of human anatomy, surgical instruments, anesthesia pharmacology, and strict sterile scrubbing, autoclaving, and surgical assisting techniques.
- Strong commitment to patient safety, infection control, ethical medical practices, and qualified hospital conduct.
- Good communication skills and the ability to thrive in a rapid-paced, high-pressure healthcare environment.
