What You’ll Be Doing (position summary):

This role is accountable for reviewing, monitoring, and testing activities to ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures. This role exercises sound judgment in prioritizing tasks and determining the best approaches to gather comprehensive and accurate information on identified issues.

The Team

Member provides the team with clear, detailed explanations of recommendations and verifies their understanding of key concerns. Leveraging strong technical and system expertise, the role analyzes data to uphold quality assurance standards for transactions. Daily responsibilities include performing tasks accurately in alignment with risk-approved benchmarks and efficiently triaging escalations. Adherence to detailed instructions and documented procedures is essential to maintain compliance.

How You’ll Succeed (responsibilities):

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

- Conduct spot-checks and independent testing of completed work to mitigate risk and ensure accuracy.
- Ensure adherence to compliance standards by monitoring policies, procedures, processes, and premises.
- Document detailed findings, including both compliant and non-compliant issues, to support business reporting requirements.
- Detect and escalate non-compliance issues, procedures, or control gaps to management, record corrective actions and expected target dates, and review and update as required.
- Coordinate and facilitate the completion of reports, set schedules for reporting, and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met,



escalating issues when necessary.

Experience: 3+ years of experience

- As a key contributor to the business unit, this job has the authority to recommend changes to business processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Supports individual and team productivity, escalates operational issues as needed, and adheres to company policies for effective operations and customer service.
- Maintains current knowledge of CIBC products, services, procedures, and technology relevant to the role.
- Adheres to security and risk management procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.

Who You Are (skills/qualifications):

- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered
- 3+ years of experience in Retail Banking domain – data processing
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
- Good understanding of banking or financial services operations and processing requirements
- Analytical and logical thinking abilities, with solid attention to detail and accuracy
- Efficiently process a diverse range of activities ensuring all assigned tasks are completed within established timelines and quality standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team, under pressure, and in ambiguous situation
- Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, with a high degree of flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant operational systems
