6 to 12 years of experience in sourcing and supply chain management from engineering/automobile industry/MNC.
Key Skills Required:
- Should have experience in strategic sourcing and supply chain management of a precision engineering/auto component industry.
- Preference will be given to those who have handled machined, sheet metal and Bought out components.
- Hands on experience in identifying, evaluating and developing vendors for machined components are a must.
- Knowledge of machining processes and other operations like milling, turning, grinding welding, plating, etc.is essential.
- Proven record in Costing and Negotiation.
- Excellent communication skills and high energy levels.
- Develop and manage a valuable supplier base; Experience in developing steel machining components
- Knowledge of 6 Sigma methodologies SPC, PPAP desirable
- Initiate and Drive Value Engineering & Cost Reduction projects.
- Proactive and self-starting; seizes opportunities and acts upon them with enthusiasm and commitment.
- Seeks all possible relevant information for problem solving and decision making
Position Details
Key Accountabilities:
- Supplier selection, Supplier Evaluation and Supplier development
- PPAP Development of components
- Cost Estimation, Price negotiation and finalization.
- Handling the complete supply chain from Order to Delivery.
- Defect analysis, Establish Root Cause, CAPA implementation in co-ordination with QC Engineers.
- Improves and maintain Delivery rating at Suppliers end.
- Achieve Cost reduction by Value Engineering, Evaluating Purchasing Efficiency, Productivity improvements at Supplier end etc.
