About The Role The AGM/SM –

- Global Trade will own and scale Sustainiam's cross-border carbon credit and I-REC trading operations. You'll be the bridge between Sustainiam's supply pipeline (IPPs, renewable energy generators, project developers) and the global buyer ecosystem: corporates, traders, brokers, exchanges, and compliance-driven entities across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. From pricing and deal structuring to exchange partnerships and settlement, you'll run the full trade lifecycle and build Sustainiam into a recognized name on global carbon trading desks.

Scope of Work

- Own end-to-end trading of carbon credits (VCUs, GS CERs, Article 6 credits) and I-RECs across global voluntary and compliance markets
- Build and manage relationships with global carbon exchanges and marketplaces (ACX, Xpansiv/CBL, CIX, CTX, HKEX Core Climate, etc.)
- Develop a robust network of international buyers: trading houses, brokers, corporates with net-zero commitments, and compliance entities (CORSIA, EU ETS-adjacent)
- Structure spot, forward, and OTC deals; negotiate pricing, volume commitments, and delivery terms
- Monitor global carbon and REC price movements,



regulatory shifts (Article 6, CBAM, CORSIA Phase 1), and supply-demand dynamics to optimize trade timing and margins
- Manage trade execution, settlement, registry transfers (Verra, Gold Standard, I-REC Standard), and post-trade reconciliation
- Collaborate with the BD and Farming teams to align supply availability with trade commitments
- Build Sustainiam's presence on key trading platforms: obtain memberships, list credits, and execute trades
- Develop trade reporting dashboards with weekly P&L;, volume, and margin visibility
- Represent Sustainiam at global carbon market events: Carbon Forward, Asia Clean Energy Summit, IETA events, and regional trading forums
- Work with Legal and Compliance to ensure all trades meet regulatory requirements across jurisdictions

Ideal Candidate

- Education: MBA from a Tier-1 or Tier-2 institute, or equivalent qualification in Finance, Economics, or Energy Management
- Experience: 8–12 years in commodities trading, carbon credit trading, energy trading, or environmental markets; direct experience with carbon exchanges or REC platforms is strongly preferred
- Skills: Deep understanding of carbon market mechanisms (VCM, compliance markets, Article 6), pricing models,



trade structuring (spot/forward/OTC), and registry operations (Verra, Gold Standard, I-REC Standard); strong negotiation and relationship-building skills at a global level
- Tools: Proficiency with trading platforms, CRM systems, and data/analytics tools; comfortable with exchange APIs and trade reporting
- Bonus: Existing network of carbon traders, brokers, and exchange contacts globally; experience with CORSIA, EU ETS, or bilateral Article 6 agreements; exposure to blockchain-based carbon platforms

- Mindset: Trader DNA. Thrives on deal-making, moves fast on market signals, and is comfortable operating across time zones, cultures, and regulatory environments. Equally sharp on pricing spreadsheets and client dinners.
