Candidate Expectation

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline.

- CA / CPA / CMA / MBA (Finance) preferred.

- 15+ years of overall experience with significant exposure to Oil &
- Gas Finance and Accounting operations.

- Minimum 8+ years of leadership experience managing large-scale delivery environments.

- Robust experience in Hydrocarbon Accounting within Downstream Refining operations.

- Preferred candidate Industry: Outsourcing/BPO/KPO/ Management consulting/GCC/GBS

- The Delivery Lead Hydrocarbon Accounting is a senior leadership role responsible for driving end-to-end delivery, client engagement, operational excellence, and transformation initiatives across Hydrocarbon Accounting operations within the Oil &
- Gas Downstream Refinery value chain.

- The role requires deep expertise in Hydrocarbon Accounting, Mass Balance, Inventory Accounting, Production Accounting, Yield Accounting, and refinery operations, coupled with strong delivery leadership capabilities.

- The individual will serve as a trusted advisor to client leadership and business stakeholders across North America and Europe, ensuring operational excellence, process optimization, compliance, and business value realization.

- The role demands strong accounting expertise, global stakeholder management experience, ERP-enabled process transformation capabilities, and leadership of large, multi-location teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Delivery Leadership &
- Operational Excellence Own end-to-end delivery of Hydrocarbon Accounting operations across refinery and downstream businesses.

- Ensure accurate and timely Hydrocarbon Accounting, production accounting, inventory accounting, movement accounting, and month-end close activities.

- Drive delivery excellence through adherence to SLAs, KPIs, governance standards, and compliance requirements.

- Lead issue resolution, risk mitigation, and escalation management.

- Establish robust governance models to ensure predictable and high-quality service delivery.





- Hydrocarbon Accounting Domain Leadership Serve as the SME and delivery leader for Hydrocarbon Accounting processes.

- Drive refinery-wide Hydrocarbon Mass Balance and Loss Accounting activities.

- Ensure accurate accounting of: Crude receipts, Refinery production, Product movement, Tank inventories, Yield calculations, Product gains/losses, Hydrocarbon loss reconciliation Lead reconciliation of operational and financial data to ensure accounting accuracy.

- Drive initiatives to reduce unaccounted hydrocarbon losses and improve accounting integrity.

- Client &

- Stakeholder Management Act as a strategic partner to client leadership and refinery business teams.

- Build strong relationships with CFOs, Controllers, Accounting Leaders, Operations Heads, Supply Chain Leaders, and Refinery Leadership teams.

- Participate in executive governance forums and business reviews.

- Effectively communicate delivery performance, transformation roadmaps, business risks, and improvement opportunities.

- Engage confidently with CXO-level stakeholders across North America and Europe.

- ERP &

- Digital Transformation Lead ERP-enabled Hydrocarbon Accounting transformation programs.

- Drive optimization and adoption of industry solutions integrated with ERP platforms.

- Collaborate with business, IT, and consulting teams during: ERP implementations, Upgrades , System integrations, Process transformation initiatives Leverage analytics, automation, and digital tools to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.

- Support continuous modernization of Hydrocarbon Accounting operations.

- Financial Governance &

- Controls Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations.

- Monitor financial impacts arising from inventory variances, mass balance differences, and operational losses.





- Drive strong governance around reconciliation, adjustments, and variance management.

- Support internal and external audit activities.

- People Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop large global delivery teams.

- Build domain capability within Hydrocarbon Accounting and Oil &

- Gas accounting processes.

- Drive performance management, succession planning, employee engagement, and skills development.

- Foster a high-performance and client-centric culture.

- Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities for process standardization and optimization.

- Lead transformation projects focused on: Productivity improvement, Process automation, Reporting enhancements, Quality improvement, Cost optimization Drive best practices across Hydrocarbon Accounting operations.
