Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced AEM Asset Lead / Senior Technical Lead with 12 years of overall experience and strong hands-on expertise in AEM, Java, AEM as a Cloud Service, and AEM Assets. The candidate will lead technical solutioning, backend development, AEM Assets implementation, integrations, performance optimization, and technical delivery for enterprise-scale platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end AEM backend and Assets implementation for enterprise-scale solutions.
- Design scalable solutions using Sling, OSGi, JCR, Sling Models, Servlets, Workflows, and AEM best practices.
- Lead AEM Assets capabilities including metadata schemas, custom metadata, asset ingestion, workflows, tagging, permissions, asset processing, and governance.
- Design and implement AEM Workflows for asset processing, approvals, publishing, and metadata enrichment.
- Lead integrations with external systems using REST APIs, authentication mechanisms, and messaging patterns.
- Drive AEM as a Cloud Service adoption, including Cloud Manager, immutable deployments, cloud constraints, logging, and deployment practices.
- Own performance optimization, Dispatcher/CDN caching, cache invalidation, repository queries, and scalability.
- Provide technical leadership for CI/CD, Git, Maven, Cloud Manager, code quality, and release management.
- Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, estimations, and solution discussions.
- Ensure development follows clean code, SOLID principles, security, testing, and AEM engineering best practices.




- Collaborate with architects, product owners, frontend, QA, DevOps, security, and business teams.
- Mentor senior developers and consultants and drive technical standards and knowledge sharing.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide technical solutions for critical AEM environments.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 12 years of overall IT experience with 9 years of hands-on AEM experience.
- Solid expertise in Java 8/11 , AEM Sites, AEM Assets, Sling, OSGi, JCR, and AEM architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience with AEM Assets / DAM, including metadata, workflows, asset processing, tagging, permissions, and governance.
- Proven experience in AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) and Adobe Cloud Manager.
- Strong knowledge of Sling Models, OSGi services, Servlets, schedulers, listeners, workflows, and custom components/services.
- Experience with Content Fragments, GraphQL, headless AEM, and API-based integrations.
- Strong understanding of Dispatcher, CDN, caching, cache invalidation, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with REST APIs, integrations, authentication, Git, Maven, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Good knowledge of JUnit, Mockito, integration testing, and code quality practices.
- Strong understanding of security, permissions/ACLs, scalability, and enterprise AEM best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in technical leadership, solution design, mentoring, estimation, and stakeholder management.
- Excellent communication skills with experience working with global and distributed teams.
