Role Description The Deputy Manager role is a full-time, in office position based in Ahmedabad.
The Deputy
Manager will support day-to-day operations, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and assist in planning and executing initiatives that align with the organization’s editorial, circulation, or business objectives.
Responsibilities may include monitoring performance metrics, preparing reports, supporting process improvements, and ensuring adherence to company policies and timelines. The role involves collaborating with senior management, mentoring team members, resolving operational issues,
and contributing to strategic projects that enhance efficiency and growth.
The Deputy
Manager is expected to maintain high standards of professionalism, integrity, and quality in every aspect of work.
Qualifications
- Strong operational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage daily workflows, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, including comfort with spreadsheets, business intelligence tools, and performance tracking.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and present information clearly to stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership potential, including team guidance, conflict resolution, and support for change management initiatives.
- Sound understanding of media, publishing, or related industries; experience in print or news organizations is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Media/Communications, or a related field; postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to ethical and compliant practices.
- Comfort working in an on-site, fast-paced environment in Ahmedabad, with flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs.
