Job Summary

ISML is looking for a Admissions Counsellor to handle student enquiries and admissions from across India. The ideal candidate should have strong communication and counselling skills, an understanding of the language-learning market, and an interest in German, Japanese and French language programs.

This is a Pan-India admissions role, with the candidate working from Trichy in a hybrid model.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle enquiries and admissions from students across India.
- Counsel students and parents regarding ISML's language courses and programs.
- Understand the student's requirements and recommend suitable courses and learning pathways.
- Explain course levels, duration, fees, certification and examination pathways.
- Handle leads through phone calls, WhatsApp and other communication channels.
- Follow up consistently with prospective students and convert enquiries into admissions.
- Maintain accurate enquiry, follow-up and admission records.
- Coordinate with trainers and the academic/operations team.
- Support online counselling and admission activities.
- Achieve monthly admission and conversion targets.
- Stay updated on language-learning trends, certification requirements and market demand across India.

Required Knowledge Candidates should have a good understanding or willingness to learn about:
- German Language – A1 to B2 and Goethe-Zertifikat
- Japanese Language – N5 to N1 and JLPT
- French Language – A1 onwards and DELF/DALF

- Student career opportunities related to foreign languages

Candidate Profile
- Any Graduate.
- Freshers with excellent communication and counselling skills may apply.
- Experience in admissions counselling, education sales, tele-counselling, EdTech, language institutes or study-abroad counselling will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Tamil.
- Knowledge of Hindi or other Indian languages will be an added advantage.
- Positive convincing, follow-up and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable speaking with students and parents over phone and WhatsApp.
- Target-oriented and self-motivated.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets and CRM systems.

Important Requirement

Candidates must be based in Trichy or be willing to work from Trichy.
