Job DescriptionWe are looking for a motivated and student focused Academic Counsellor to guide students in selecting suitable IT courses and career oriented training programs. The candidate will be responsible for understanding student requirements, explaining course benefits, following up with enquiries, and supporting students throughout the admission process.
Key Responsibilities
- Counseling students and parents regarding suitable courses and career pathways.
- Understanding student interests, educational backgrounds, and career goals.
- Explaining the course curriculum, duration, fees, placement assistance, and career opportunities.
- Handling incoming enquiries through calls, WhatsApp, walk-ins, and other channels.
- Following up with prospective students and maintain regular communication.
- Converting enquiries into admissions through effective counselling and communication.
- Maintaining student enquiry and admission records.
- Coordinating with trainers and internal teams regarding: course related queries.
- Participating in seminars, college visits, career guidance programs, and promotional activities.
- Achieving the assigned counselling and admission targets.
Requirements
- Experience of 1–2 years in academic counselling, education sales, training institutes, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A fine Ability to confidently interact with students and parents.
- Strong follow-up and convincing skills.
- Basic computer and MS Office knowledge.
- Target-oriented and proactive approach.
