Management Accountant

Job Summary

Looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Accounts Officer with a strong understanding of management accounting and month-end reporting processes. The ideal candidate should have sound knowledge of general accounting principles, including accruals, prepayments, provisions, journal entries, account reversals, and General Ledger (GL) accounting.

Responsibilities

- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and month-end reporting.
- Perform and support month-end closing activities within agreed deadlines.
- Prepare and maintain prepayment, accrual, and provision schedules.
- Prepare and post accounting journals, including accruals, prepayments, provisions, reclassifications, and reversals.
- Perform General Ledger (GL) reviews and reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Process GL-to-GL adjustments and ensure transactions are recorded against the correct accounts.
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and maintain appropriate supporting documentation.
- Review financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

Skills Experience

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Relevant accounting qualifications would be advantageous.
- Valuable Communication Skills (Read + Write + Speak - English) and interpersonal Skills
- Proven experience in a payroll role.
- Excel Skills + MS Application handling, Adaptability, and attention to detail.
