Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Accounts & Finance Manager with strong hands-on experience in the Ecommerce/D2C industry. The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, statutory compliance, GST and TDS filings, reconciliations, and preparation/review of financial statements.

Ecommerce industry experience is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

- Manage day-to-day accounting and financial transactions.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and accounting records.
- Prepare and review Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements.
- Perform monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities.
- Review journal entries, provisions, accruals and expense accounting.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Conduct regular bank, ledger and balance-sheet reconciliations.

GST & TDS Compliance

- Prepare and file GST returns such as GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and other applicable GST returns.
- Ensure proper reconciliation of GSTR-2B with purchase records/books.
- Handle TDS calculations, payments and TDS return filings.
- Ensure timely issuance of TDS certificates and compliance with applicable statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants/auditors for GST and TDS-related matters.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in GST, TDS and accounting records.

Ecommerce Finance Operations

- Handle accounting and reconciliation of Ecommerce/Marketplace transactions.
- Reconcile sales, collections, commissions, marketplace fees, refunds, cancellations and returns.
- Reconcile settlements received from platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra,



Meesho and other marketplaces, as applicable.
- Reconcile payment gateways, COD collections, online payments and bank settlements.
- Track RTO, NDR, refunds, discounts and marketplace deductions.
- Ensure accurate accounting of ecommerce sales and related expenses.
- Monitor marketplace receivables and settlement discrepancies.

MIS & Analysis

- Prepare monthly and periodic financial MIS reports.
- Analyse revenue, expenses, gross margin and profitability.
- Prepare management reports and financial dashboards.
- Provide financial insights to management for business decision-making.
- Monitor working capital and cash flow requirements.

Audit & Compliance

- Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax consultants and internal auditors.
- Support statutory audit, tax audit and other financial audits.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.

Maintain proper documentation and financial records.

Preferred candidate profile

- Robust knowledge of Accounting and Finance.
- Hands-on experience in Balance Sheet and P&L; preparation/review.
- Strong knowledge of GST and TDS compliance and return filing.
- Experience in Ecommerce/Marketplace accounting and reconciliation.
- Good understanding of marketplace settlements and payment gateways.
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and reconciliation.
- Experience with accounting software such as Tally
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills

Candidates must have prior hands-on experience in the Ecommerce / D2C / Online Retail industry..
