1. Job Purpose

To prepare, modify, and execute laser cutting designs using CAD/CAM software, ensuring accurate cutting dimensions, minimum material wastage, quality standards, and timely completion of production orders.
1. Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and modify 2D drawings and cutting designs using CAD/CAM software.
- Convert customer drawings and production requirements into laser cutting programs.
- Operate laser cutting machines according to approved production drawings and specifications.
- Verify material thickness, dimensions, cutting parameters, and job requirements before starting production.
- Ensure proper nesting of components to minimize material wastage.
- Check cutting accuracy, dimensions, hole positions, and edge quality.
- Identify and correct design errors, cutting defects, and programming issues.
- Coordinate with the Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments to ensure smooth production.
- Maintain proper records of production quantities, material consumption, and machine performance.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned production targets.
- Perform routine machine checks and report any technical issues to the concerned supervisor.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain workplace cleanliness.

1. Educational Qualification

- Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die, or a relevant technical field.




- Candidates with relevant laser cutting design and machine operation experience may also be considered.

1. Experience

- 1–3 years of experience in laser cutting design and machine operation is preferred.
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication and industrial manufacturing will be an added advantage.

1. Technical Skills

- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD and relevant laser cutting nesting software.
- Understanding of 2D drawings, engineering drawings, and dimensional tolerances.
- Knowledge of laser cutting parameters, including power, speed, and gas pressure.
- Understanding of sheet metal materials and thickness specifications.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic cutting and programming issues.
- Knowledge of material nesting and scrap reduction techniques.

1. Safety & Compliance

- Report machine abnormalities, unsafe conditions, and workplace hazards immediately.
- Maintain proper housekeeping in the working area.

Salary As per company standards and candidate experience.
