About the Role:

URVA Consulting is hiring an Accounts Assistant / Cash Book Accountant for a well-established Indian-managed manufacturing company in Ghana, West Africa.

We are looking for a hands-on accounting professional with strong practical experience in daily cash book writing, petty cash management, day book maintenance, and basic accounting activities within a factory, manufacturing, trading, or operational environment.

This is an execution-focused role suited to candidates who are comfortable handling day-to-day accounting responsibilities independently.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate daily cash book entries
- Handle petty cash independently
- Maintain day books, ledgers, and supporting records
- Record daily expenses, receipts, and payments
- Track vendor payments and operational expenses
- Maintain proper accounting documentation and vouchers
- Assist with basic bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations
- Support the maintenance of stock and expense records
- Coordinate with factory and operational staff for daily expense tracking
- Assist the accounts team with other routine accounting activities

Candidate Requirements

- 6 to 10 years of hands-on accounting experience
- Strong practical experience in daily cash book writing is mandatory




- Experience in independently managing petty cash
- Working knowledge of Tally or similar accounting software
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations
- Experience in a factory, manufacturing, trading, or operational environment preferred
- B.Com or M.Com qualification preferred
- Comfortable working in a factory-based environment
- Must possess a valid passport or be willing to obtain one
- Must be genuinely willing to relocate to Ghana, West Africa

Important Suitability Note This role primarily involves practical, day-to-day accounting work, particularly cash book writing and petty cash handling. Candidates whose experience is limited to highly structured corporate or ERP-based accounting, without hands-on cash book exposure, may not be suitable.
