Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accounts Assistant located in Chennai. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, handling customer service inquiries, assisting in account management, and performing analytical tasks. The role involves ensuring accurate financial records, supporting the finance team, and providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Job Requirements

- Accounting: overseeing books of accounts,



month-end/year-end closing, reconciliations and audit support.
- Direct taxation: income-tax computations, TDS, advance tax, tax audits, assessments and related filings.
- GST: GST returns, reconciliations, input-tax-credit checks, GST audits/notices and compliance.
- Corporate compliance: coordination with statutory auditors, internal auditors and regulatory requirements.
- Financial controls: improving processes, preventing errors/leakage and ensuring proper authorization and documentation.
- Business support: providing management with profitability, cost, working-capital and tax-impact analysis.
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
- Experience in Account Management
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping

Qualifications:
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance or equivalent
- Solid knowledge of GST, Income Tax and TDS
- Advanced Excel and ERP experience such as Tally and Xero
- Experience with financial reporting, audits and statutory compliance
