Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accounts & Finance Officer to manage the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the institution. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing financial transactions, monitoring receipts and payments, supporting statutory compliance, and preparing financial reports for management.

The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, excellent numerical and analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all financial matters.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including recording and maintaining financial transactions, vouchers, ledgers, and supporting documents.
- Handle receipts, payments, invoices, bills, reimbursements, and other financial transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Monitor student fee collections, outstanding dues, and other institutional receivables.
- Verify bills, invoices, vouchers, and supporting documents before processing payments.
- Prepare and maintain bank reconciliation statements and monitor daily bank transactions.
- Prepare periodic financial statements, MIS reports, expense statements, and other financial reports as required by management.
- Monitor departmental expenses and assist in budget preparation and expenditure control.
- Coordinate with HR and other departments regarding salary, payroll-related accounting, PF, ESI, TDS, and other financial matters.
- Ensure timely compliance with applicable statutory requirements,



including TDS, GST, PF, ESI, and other relevant regulations.
- Assist in internal and external audits and provide necessary financial records and supporting documents.
- Maintain proper documentation and systematic filing of all financial records.
- Monitor outstanding payments and coordinate with concerned departments for timely collection and settlement.
- Coordinate with banks, vendors, auditors, service providers, and other external stakeholders.
- Identify discrepancies, accounting errors, or irregularities and report them to the appropriate authority.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are processed according to the institution's approval procedures and internal financial policies.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and institutional information.
- Assist management in financial planning, budgeting, cost control, and other financial analysis.
- Perform any other accounts and finance-related responsibilities assigned by the management from time to time.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field .
- Candidates with M.Com, MBA (Finance), CA Inter, CMA Inter, or equivalent qualifications will be preferred.
- Relevant experience in accounts and finance, preferably in an educational institution, corporate organization, or service sector .
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.




- Working knowledge of Tally/ERP and MS Excel .
- Knowledge of statutory compliances such as GST, TDS, PF, and ESI will be an advantage.

- Proper maintenance and availability of financial documents for audit.
- Effective cost monitoring and budget control.
- Timely resolution of accounting discrepancies and financial queries.
