Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Kanpur. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial transactions, including bookkeeping, posting entries to ledgers, and reconciling accounts.

Responsibilities include preparing invoices, processing payments and receipts, maintaining accurate records of expenses and revenues, and supporting cash and bank reconciliations. The role also involves assisting in monthly and annual closing, preparing basic financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations, and coordinating with internal teams and external auditors as needed.



The Accountant is expected to maintain organized documentation, respond to finance-related queries, and support continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Qualifications

- Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
- Ability to work with accounting and ERP software (e.g., Tally, SAP, or similar) and proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of basic taxation concepts, compliance requirements, and documentation standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA intern, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site full time, manage deadlines, and handle confidential financial information responsibly.
- Prior experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a corporate or trading setting, is beneficial.
