– Accounts Executive Position: Accounts Executive Industry: Transport & Logistics Experience: 2–5 years preferred Location: zakaria street,kolkata 700073 Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are looking for a knowledgeable and responsible Accounts Executive to handle day-to-day accounting and GST-related activities for our transport business. The candidate should have good practical knowledge of accounting, GST compliance, transport billing, reconciliations, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities - Maintain day-to-day books of accounts and ensure accurate and timely accounting entries.

- Handle sales/income billing, purchase/expense entries, receipts, payments, journal entries, and ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and verify transportation/freight invoices and related supporting documents.
- Maintain customer and vendor ledgers and perform regular reconciliation.
- Handle GST-related activities, including:
- GST invoicing and tax classification - GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B data preparation/reconciliation - Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliation - RCM-related accounting and compliance, wherever applicable - GST notices and basic departmental correspondence - Ensure proper preparation and maintenance of e-way bills and other transport-related documentation.
- Handle TDS accounting, deduction, reconciliation and related compliance.
- Reconcile bank accounts, customer/vendor balances, GST balances and other relevant accounts.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and assist in follow-up for collections.




- Maintain proper records of freight expenses, vehicle-related expenses, fuel, tolls, loading/unloading and other transport expenses.
- Assist in preparation of monthly/periodic financial reports and MIS.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants and management for accounting and statutory requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting and tax records.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, GST and taxation requirements.

Required Skills &

Qualifications - Graduate in B.Com/M.Com or equivalent qualification.

- Strong practical knowledge of Accounting and GST.
- Experience in the transport/logistics industry will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of Tally/ERP accounting software and MS Excel.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, e-way bills, reconciliations and statutory compliance.
- Good understanding of debit/credit, ledgers, journal entries, bank reconciliation and financial statements.
- Ability to independently handle day-to-day accounting activities.
- Positive analytical, organizational and communication skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing the accounts function of a transport business, have practical exposure to GST and taxation, and be comfortable working with high-volume transport transactions and regular reconciliations.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
