Role Description The Accountant (Hotel Industry) at Aaryam Hotel and Resorts will manage day-to-day financial operations for the property in Joshimath, ensuring accurate, timely recording of all hotel revenue and expenses. This full-time, on-site role includes maintaining ledgers, preparing daily sales and revenue reports, monitoring cash and bank transactions, and reconciling accounts with supporting documentation.

The role involves handling vendor payments, reviewing purchase orders, verifying invoices, and supporting inventory cost control in coordination with operations and procurement teams. The Accountant will assist in preparing monthly financial statements,



budgets, and MIS reports, while ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, taxation requirements, and internal policies. The role also requires close collaboration with the front office and reservations teams to validate billing, resolve discrepancies, and support audits.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in accounting principles, including ledger maintenance, journal entries, reconciliations, and trial balance preparation.
- Hands-on experience with hotel or hospitality accounting processes such as night audit, revenue reporting, and cost control.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP or hotel PMS integrations) and good working knowledge of MS Excel and other Office tools.
- Understanding of taxation, statutory compliance, and basic knowledge of GST and other regulatory requirements relevant to hospitality operations.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to analyze financial information to identify variances or discrepancies.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with operations, front office, procurement, and management teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and maintain organized financial records in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; prior experience as an Accountant in hotels or resorts is preferred.
