Gururaj Engineers Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accountant with practical experience in SAP and Tally. The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, accounts payable/receivable, GST/TDS-related work, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
- Make and maintain accounting entries in SAP and Tally.
- Handle purchase, sales, receipt, payment and journal entries.
- Prepare and verify invoices, credit notes and debit notes.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Maintain customer and vendor ledgers.
- Follow up on outstanding customer payments and prepare ageing reports.
- Verify vendor invoices and supporting documents before processing payments.
- Perform bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation.
- Maintain proper accounting and financial documentation.
- Assist with GST-related activities and GST reconciliation.
- Handle TDS-related accounting and documentation.
- Coordinate with the CA/accounting consultant for statutory compliance.
- Maintain petty cash and expense records.
- Prepare basic MIS and accounting reports for management.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure all accounting entries are accurate and completed on time.
- Perform other finance and accounting activities as assigned by management.
Required Skills
- Mandatory: Hands-on experience in SAP.
- Mandatory: Good working knowledge of Tally Prime / Tally ERP.
- Good knowledge of GST and TDS.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Practical experience in Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable.
- Knowledge of bank and ledger reconciliation.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Positive attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to independently handle routine accounting activities.
Qualification
- B.Com / M.Com / BBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
- 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience in SAP and Tally is required.
Preferred Candidate
- Candidates with experience in manufacturing, engineering, industrial automation, or trading companies will be preferred.
- Candidates with practical experience in SAP + Tally + GST/TDS will be preferred.
- Candidates who can independently manage day-to-day accounting activities will be preferred.
