About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Accountant with 3–5 years of experience in a D2C, e-commerce, retail or fast-growing consumer business. The role will be responsible for day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, statutory compliance, reconciliations and management reporting.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, have strong attention to detail and be capable of independently managing routine finance operations while working closely with the Virtual CFO.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting entries including sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments and journal entries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts.
- Handle bank, payment gateway, marketplace and other account reconciliations.
- Reconcile sales and settlements from platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Shopify, marketplaces and payment gateways, wherever applicable.
- Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable records.
- Assist with GST, TDS and other statutory compliances and ensure timely preparation of required data/returns.
- Support monthly and periodic MIS and management reporting.
- Prepare schedules and information required by the Virtual CFO, auditors and tax consultants.
- Track expenses, vendor payments,



customer collections and outstanding balances.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain proper documentation and supporting records for all financial transactions.
- Identify discrepancies, accounting errors and reconciliation issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Work closely with the Virtual CFO on financial analysis, controls and process improvements.

Desired Candidate Profile
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with a D2C, e-commerce, retail, consumer brand or startup.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Practical experience with GST and TDS compliance.
- Experience with bank and payment reconciliation is essential.
- Exposure to e-commerce/marketplace accounting will be strongly preferred.
- Good working knowledge of Tally / Zoho Books / ERP / accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of routine finance activities.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
