Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Chennai. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial transactions, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, and ledger maintenance.

The role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, reconciling bank accounts, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations. The Accountant will support budgeting and forecasting activities, assist with internal and external audits, and provide accurate financial reports for management decision-making. The position also includes maintaining proper documentation,



coordinating with internal departments, and helping improve financial processes and controls.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in core accounting functions such as bookkeeping, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
- Knowledge of tax laws, regulatory compliance, and audit procedures relevant to corporate finance.
- Ability to work with accounting software and spreadsheets; familiarity with ERP or financial management systems is an advantage.
- Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA) are a plus.
- Prior experience in the mining, metals, or manufacturing industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
