About the Role

Amity University Punjab is looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to join its Finance & Accounts team. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and statutory requirements.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in Tally/ERP systems and MS Excel.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts and financial records.
- Record and verify day-to-day accounting transactions, including receipts, payments, purchases, and expenses.
- Prepare and maintain bank, ledger, and account reconciliations.
- Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Process invoices, bills, reimbursements, and payment-related documentation.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Assist with GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required financial records and documentation.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial transactions.
- Assist in budgeting, expense monitoring, and financial analysis.




- Coordinate with internal departments regarding invoices, payments, and financial queries.
- Ensure compliance with institutional financial policies and accounting procedures.
- Perform other finance and accounting responsibilities as assigned by the reporting manager.

Required Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel including formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic data analysis.
- Working knowledge of Tally or ERP/accounting software.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory accounting requirements.
- Robust numerical and analytical abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with different departments.

Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in universities, educational institutions, schools, colleges, corporate finance departments, or other structured organizations will be preferred.

Experience in handling student fee accounting, institutional expenses, vendor payments, payroll-related accounting, or education-sector finance operations will be an added advantage.

Education

- B.Com / M.Com / CA (Inter) / MBA Finance or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant professional certifications will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
