Position: Accountancy Teacher

Location: Bardoli, Gujarat

Department: Academics

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience: 2–5 Years preferred

Reporting To: Principal / Academic Coordinator

1. Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and passionate Accountancy Teacher to join our academic team in Bardoli. The candidate will be responsible for teaching Accountancy to senior secondary students, developing conceptual understanding, preparing students for board examinations, and maintaining high academic standards. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, good communication skills, and the ability to make Accountancy concepts simple and practical for students.

1. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Teaching & Classroom Responsibilities

- Teach Accountancy to senior secondary students as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Prepare and deliver effective lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Explain accounting concepts, principles, journal entries, ledger, trial balance, final accounts, partnership accounts, company accounts, etc., in a clear and practical manner.
- Use appropriate teaching methods, examples, activities, and digital resources to improve student understanding.
- Conduct regular revision and doubt-clearing sessions.
- Maintain effective classroom discipline and student engagement.
- Identify students' learning gaps and provide additional academic support.

B. Academic Planning & Curriculum
- Prepare yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily teaching plans.
- Complete the syllabus within the prescribed academic schedule.
- Follow the school's academic calendar, curriculum guidelines, and examination plan.
- Prepare worksheets, assignments, practice papers, question banks, and study material.
- Plan remedial and enrichment activities based on student performance.
- Coordinate with the Academic Coordinator and other subject teachers for academic planning.

C. Assessment & Examination
- Conduct class tests, periodic assessments, assignments, and examinations.
- Prepare question papers as per the required pattern and difficulty level.
- Evaluate answer sheets accurately and within the given timeline.
- Maintain student assessment records and performance data.
- Analyse examination results and prepare action plans for improvement.
- Provide constructive feedback to students regarding their academic performance.
- Prepare students effectively for Board Examinations and competitive academic requirements, wherever applicable.

D. Student Development
- Monitor students' academic progress and overall classroom participation.




- Provide individual attention to students requiring additional support.
- Encourage logical thinking, problem-solving, and application-based learning.
- Motivate students to develop interest in Accountancy and Commerce subjects.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with students.
- Communicate student academic concerns to the Coordinator/Principal when required.

E. Parent Communication
- Attend Parent-Teacher Meetings and communicate students' academic progress professionally.
- Discuss areas of improvement with parents when required.
- Provide appropriate feedback regarding students' attendance, discipline, and academic performance.
- Maintain confidentiality of student and parent information.

F. Administrative & School Responsibilities
- Maintain required academic records, lesson plans, attendance, marks, and assessment documentation.
- Complete assigned academic and administrative work within the given timelines.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, workshops, seminars, and career development programmes.
- Participate in school events, functions, assemblies, exhibitions, and other institutional activities.
- Follow all school rules, policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Coordinate with the Accounts/Administration Department when academic activities require financial or accounting-related support.

1. Qualifications

Minimum Qualification:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Commerce / Accountancy from a recognised university.
- B.Ed. is preferred/required as per the applicable school-board requirements.

Preferred Qualification:

- M.Com / B.Com with B.Ed.
- Relevant teaching certification or subject-specific qualification.

1. Experience





- 2–5 years of teaching experience in Accountancy is preferred.
- Experience of teaching Grade 11 & 12 will be an advantage.
- Candidates with CBSE / GSEB / ISC / Cambridge / other recognised board teaching experience may be preferred depending on the requirement.
- Freshers with strong subject knowledge and good communication skills may also be considered.
