Role Description The Academic Head is a full-time, in office position based in Kerala, India, responsible for leading the academic vision and operations of SkillMerge Hackers Academy. This role oversees curriculum planning and development for cybersecurity and ethical hacking programs, ensuring course content remains current, practical, and aligned with industry standards.

The Academic

Head manages teaching staff, coordinates academic schedules, and maintains high-quality delivery of lectures, labs, and mentoring sessions.



Daily responsibilities include monitoring student performance, implementing academic policies, supporting internships and certification pathways, and collaborating with management to enhance learning outcomes. The role also involves engaging with industry partners, driving continuous improvement in academic processes, and fostering an inclusive, learner-centric environment.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in Educational Management and Team Management, with experience leading academic programs or training initiatives.
- Strong background in Curriculum Development and Education, preferably in cybersecurity, IT, or related technical disciplines.
- Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts clearly to diverse learner groups and coordinate effectively with faculty and stakeholders.
- Proven experience in academic planning, assessment design, and quality assurance for technical or vocational training programs.
- Ability to mentor educators, guide students, and promote an inclusive, non-discriminatory learning environment.
- Experience collaborating with industry partners, employers, or certification bodies to align training outcomes with job market needs.
