About the Role

RMC Education is looking for a motivated and student-focused Academic Counsellor to join our team in Palakkad.

The ideal candidate should have experience in academic counselling, student communication, lead handling, and follow-ups. You will be responsible for understanding students' educational goals, guiding them towards suitable courses and opportunities, and supporting them throughout the admission process.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students and parents regarding suitable courses, programs, and career opportunities.
- Understand students' academic background, interests, and career goals.
- Handle enquiries through phone calls, WhatsApp, walk-ins, and other communication channels.
- Follow up with prospective students and convert enquiries into admissions.
- Maintain regular communication with students throughout the counselling and admission process.
- Explain course details, eligibility, fees, admission procedures, and other relevant information clearly.
- Maintain and update student and lead information accurately.
- Coordinate with the internal team to ensure a smooth admission process.
- Achieve assigned counselling and admission targets.
- Build positive relationships with students and parents.




- Stay updated about the courses and educational programs offered by the organization.

Requirements
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in academic counselling, educational sales, student counselling, or a related role.
- Good communication skills in English and Malayalam.
- Strong interpersonal and convincing skills.
- Ability to understand student requirements and provide appropriate guidance.
- Good follow-up and lead management skills.
- Comfortable handling phone calls, WhatsApp, and walk-in enquiries.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with MS Office/Google Workspace.
- Target-oriented and self-motivated approach.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Candidates with experience in the education/overseas education/training sector will be preferred.
