About the Role

Vidya Setu Institute is seeking an Academic Counsellor to support prospective PhD scholars throughout programme selection, admissions, documentation, and enrolment.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel prospective candidates by phone, email, and online meeting.
- Explain PhD coursework, eligibility criteria, fees, timelines, and admission requirements clearly and accurately.
- Understand candidates’ academic backgrounds and research goals.
- Follow up with prospective candidates and track application progress.
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries and admissions.
- Coordinate with the academic and admissions teams.




- Support enrolment targets through ethical, transparent, and informative counselling.

Requirements

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of higher education or research programmes.
- Excellent follow-up and organisational skills.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, email, and online communication tools.
- A graduate or postgraduate qualification is preferred.
