IPCS Global is looking for an enthusiastic and target-oriented Academic Counsellor / Telecaller to join our Coimbatore team.

The candidate will be responsible for handling student enquiries, understanding their career goals, explaining suitable courses, following up with leads, and converting enquiries into course registrations.

This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about sales, communication, education and career counselling.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle incoming and outgoing calls with prospective students and parents.
- Contact leads generated through digital marketing, website, social media and other sources.
- Understand students' educational background, career interests and requirements.
- Explain available courses, course benefits, duration, fees, offers and career opportunities.
- Provide appropriate course recommendations based on the student's requirements.
- Follow up with interested leads through calls and WhatsApp.
- Build a valuable relationship with students and parents and maintain regular communication.
- Convert qualified enquiries into admissions/registrations.
- Achieve daily, weekly and monthly counselling and admission targets.
- Maintain accurate lead details, follow-up status and enquiry records.
- Coordinate with the academic/training team whenever required.
- Invite prospective students for counselling sessions, demo classes and centre visits.
- Handle objections professionally and provide relevant information to help students make informed decisions.
- Follow up with old and inactive leads to generate new admissions.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach while interacting with students.





Required Skills
- Valuable verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong convincing and counselling skills.
- Good follow-up and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and explain courses clearly.
- Sales-oriented and target-driven approach.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office / Google Sheets and WhatsApp.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Tamil and English communication skills are preferred.

Education
- Any Degree / Diploma.
- Freshers with valuable communication skills and an interest in sales are welcome to apply.

Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in telecalling, inside sales, education counselling, admissions, customer service or a related field.
- Candidates with experience in education/training institute sales will be an advantage.
